the straigt and narrow

Posted on Mar 11th, 2008 by Kaedrich : Galdramaðr Kaedrich
....interesting little phrase that keeps repeating in my head.....
.....intersting little whispers that come associated with it.......

The straight and narrow is not the same for everyone, it is always a subjective experience.
We can say we follow the straight and narrow road, but it must actually be defined and relevent for each person.
Sometimes, even the straying from the straight and narrow is part of it. Planned deviations, rewards of self indulgence, moments of exhuberance, all may seem like straying away from the narrow path. But these may all just be road side attractions and worthy of a stop or a few to enjoy.
Part of the straight and narrow is self care. - side statistic - the most productive in any field are those that take the most vacaction time. Workaholics tend to be the least productive......hmmmmm.....talk about your straying from the straight and narrow in order to stay on it...
The straight and narrow, from a subjective non-judgmental place, is actually alignement with your true being. It is like a crystal. All of the molecules align, perfectly, to produce the crystaline effect. When one is following the true straight and narrow, for themselves, then they are the crystal that lights up and illuminates all that is around them.

Remember, not all straight and narrow paths are the same. What one may see as slacking and lazy, another may see as a free spirit enjoying life. No one path is the same for all.

i am reminded of my purity ramble:
You can have pure vodka
You can have pure orange juice
You mix them together.
You no longer have pure vodka
You no longer have pure orange juice
You now have pure Screwdriver

Enjoy!

I was tagged by Mark

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Thumpin' in a groove, deeply seated in the pocket

What is your greatest fear?

...ever see The Pursuit of Happyness? That is the scariest movie I have ever seen. I don't know if I go that far out on the edge in pursuit of my dream. The fear of facing that edge, and the thought of having to put my family on that kind of a gamble is my greatest fear. I just don't know if I could do it.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

...not sure.....

Which living person do you most admire?

Everyone that has a dream and manifests it for the good of all - not a cop-out, really.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Lower self perception (not low self-esteem). I know I can shoot for more, but seem to hold back. Maybe this is better stated as low sense of deservedness?

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

extreme judgmentalism - I think anyone who is strongly judgmental is completely wrong 100% of the time and should be executed live at 11. - I can't deplore anyone. When I see something I don't like in others I treat it like a mirror. It teaches me something more about myself that I may not have known.

What is your greatest extravagance?

yo-yos - they can get expensive for a little toy

What is your favorite journey?

To Scotland. It was the place I met the woman that introduced me to my wife 17 years ago.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

My happy go lucky appearance....sometimes it is just a conflict avoidance tactic ("the weak in courage are strong in cunning")

On what occasion do you lie?

To myself about how much time I have, how difficult something will be to do, and how others will perceive it when it is done.

Which living person do you most despise?

Can't do it......even if I don't like what Bush is doing, or any other person, I know there is something else going on - whether we understand it, like it or not.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

"Doom! Doom I say.....did I say doom?" - my kids love it (it makes them roll their eyes)

The last quarter of college. I wish I could go back and re-do it....oh well, I wouldn't be here then, would I. And I love it here.

hmmm.....never stays in one place for long....right now, tired.

If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?

The lack of closeness

strange one here.....the ball I am creating. The whisperers say I am making a ball with my teachings. The thing is, I am to make the ball, but it gets rolling when I no longer need my body. :)

Person

Ehlhaz at a glance - for a quick spiritual tune up

Posted on Mar 31st, 2008 by Kaedrich : Galdramaðr Kaedrich
The rune Ehlhaz looks like the peace symbol, but upside down.

Its name is a connection to the spirit of the elk. It is also the energy that connects our world with higher spiritual energies of the upper worlds (the realms of the gods and ascended beings).

Runic energies are engaged with singing the name while focusing on the intent of the rune.

Intention of Ehlhaz

The intent of Ehlhaz is higher levels of spirituality and protection.
• Allow yourself to feel the connection with higher spiritual energies
• Allow yourself to know you are safe

Singing Ehlhaz:

When singing focus your mind and be aware of your breathing and how you sing the rune.
First, inhale and let yourself be filled with universal energy. Then sing the rune:

Ehl – ALE – feel energy between eyes
Haz – HAAZ – out from the mouth like an aspiration

• Energy moves into your being with the inhale
• Tuned at place between eyes - Ehl
• Fills and surrounds you - haz

This tunes your subtle being to the higher spiritual energies
1. Brings that energy through you
2. Builds up that spiritual/ protective energy in the world around you

This puts you in a protective and sacred/ spiritual place. Feel free to try it. A sacred number to Norse spirituality is 9. Sing Ehlhaz in three groups of three.

Even standing in a position with your arms raised at an angle (mimicking the shape of Ehlhaz) will bring the Ehlhaz energy into your being.

Let me know how this works out for you.
