The rune Ehlhaz looks like the peace symbol, but upside down.
Its name is a connection to the spirit of the elk. It is also the energy that connects our world with higher spiritual energies of the upper worlds (the realms of the gods and ascended beings).
Runic energies are engaged with singing the name while focusing on the intent of the rune.
Intention of Ehlhaz
The intent of Ehlhaz is higher levels of spirituality and protection.
• Allow yourself to feel the connection with higher spiritual energies

Singing Ehlhaz:
When singing focus your mind and be aware of your breathing and how you sing the rune.
First, inhale and let yourself be filled with universal energy. Then sing the rune:
Ehl – ALE – feel energy between eyes
Haz – HAAZ – out from the mouth like an aspiration
• Energy moves into your being with the inhale
• Tuned at place between eyes - Ehl
• Fills and surrounds you - haz
This tunes your subtle being to the higher spiritual energies
1. Brings that energy through you
2. Builds up that spiritual/ protective energy in the world around you
This puts you in a protective and sacred/ spiritual place. Feel free to try it. A sacred number to Norse spirituality is 9. Sing Ehlhaz in three groups of three.
Even standing in a position with your arms raised at an angle (mimicking the shape of Ehlhaz) will bring the Ehlhaz energy into your being.

what a timely post, Kaedrich! I see this rune in the trees FREQUENTLY … is this a message that is being delivered to me from the earth (faerie) realm? I'm curious what your thoughts would be on this synchronicity of seeing it so often.
It might be…..if it is a persistant image, try an experiment. When you see it again, if you are in a good place to try this, take a moment to tune in to Ehlhaz. Then allow yourself to be open to any message that may come across. The good thing is that Ehlhaz already puts you in the protective space. When you are aligned with the energies you are tuned into the same “radio station” and should be able to pick up the signal loud and clear.
